About The Book
My book, A Cry for Rescue, is a powerful examination of the Nigerian condition and a passionate call for national transformation. The book captures the cries of ordinary Nigerians struggling with poverty, rising living costs, insecurity, unemployment, failing institutions and the loss of hope in a country with enormous human and natural resources.
Moving from the economics of suffering to insecurity, the vulnerability of women and children, youth unemployment and the mass migration of Nigerians in search of better opportunities, the book asks a fundamental question: how did a nation with so much potential become a place where survival itself has become a daily struggle?
The book also confronts Nigeria's leadership and political culture, examining the paradox of immense national wealth existing alongside widespread poverty. It challenges young Nigerians, political leaders and citizens alike to rethink the meaning of leadership, democracy, patriotism and national responsibility.
Ultimately, A Cry for Rescue is not simply a criticism of Nigeria. It is a call to action, a search for the kind of economic, political, security and institutional reforms capable of rebuilding trust and restoring hope. It argues that Nigeria's rescue cannot be postponed indefinitely and that the future of the nation depends on the choices Nigerians make today.
"A Cry for Rescue is the story of a nation crying for help, and a call for courageous Nigerians to answer that cry by building the new Nigeria they deserve."
