My Development Initiative
RESCUE. RENEW. REBUILD. A Better Lagos Is Possible. These are My Six Pledges to the People of Lagos — six commitments to rescue what is failing, renew what must change, and rebuild Lagos into the state we deserve.
I believe in a Lagos where opportunity is not a privilege, where hard work can lead to prosperity, and where government works for the people — a Lagos that is safer, more inclusive, more affordable, and full of opportunity, prepared not only to meet the challenges of today, but to secure a better future for generations yet to come. Together, we can build a better Lagos.
Pledge One
Quality Public Schools. Lower Costs for Families. Better Futures. For many Lagos families, the cost of private education has become one of the biggest pressures on household income. My government will launch a 100-School Transformation Programme as the first phase of a wider statewide programme to rehabilitate, modernise and upgrade Lagos public primary and secondary schools.
The first 100 schools will be selected through a transparent, independent needs assessment — not political connections — with priority given to schools facing overcrowding, poor infrastructure, inadequate sanitation, accessibility needs and insufficient learning facilities.
Rehabilitated and modernised, starting with the schools facing the greatest need.
Safe, functioning facilities in every one of the first 100 schools.
Real learning facilities and electricity and digital connectivity for every campus.
Facilities for children with disabilities, and a safer overall learning environment.
100 Schools to Start. A Statewide Education Transformation to Follow — because every child deserves a good school, and every family deserves the opportunity to educate their children without being pushed into financial hardship.
Pledge Two
Safer Communities. Faster Response. Better Intelligence. Security must begin with knowing what is happening in our communities before a crisis becomes a tragedy. My government will establish a Local Government Security Watch Ward Network, creating dedicated community based teams across Lagos to strengthen intelligence gathering, early warning, incident reporting and rapid coordination with the appropriate security agencies.
Building on the experience of initiatives such as LASTMA, we will develop a modern, technology-supported community safety network that is closer to residents and better connected to government and law enforcement.

Pledge Three
Good Health Is Wealth. No family should lose a loved one simply because they cannot afford the cost of life-saving medical treatment. My government will work towards a healthcare system where no Lagosian is denied essential, life-saving treatment because of inability to pay, particularly in life-threatening and emergency situations.
Essential, life-saving treatment should never depend on ability to pay.
Improved access to essential medicines and treatment statewide.
Healthcare as a right people can access — not a privilege reserved for those who can afford it.
If we can build systems that protect lives elsewhere, we can build one that protects lives in Lagos.
Pledge Four
Every Child. A Stake In Lagos' Future. Every child born in Lagos should have the opportunity to grow, learn, prosper and participate in the future success of our State. My government will establish a Future Generation Wealth Fund to create a long-term financial foundation for eligible children born in Lagos, while investing strategically in the State's economic growth.
Invest in the child today. Build the wealth of tomorrow.
Rather than seeing a growing population only as a challenge, we invest in our children as Lagos's greatest long-term economic asset.
Every eligible child reaches adulthood with greater financial security, opportunity and a foundation to build a productive future.

Pledge Five
Every working person deserves a wage that allows them to live with dignity. My government will pursue a Living Wage Support programme designed to help low-income workers meet the rising cost of living while encouraging businesses to create and retain decent, productive jobs.
Hard work should never leave a person unable to meet basic needs.
A sustainable framework that supports workers without undermining employment or burdening businesses.
A productive Lagos must be a Lagos where work provides stability and prosperity.
